What is it?

An injectable prescription medicine that's available as a pen that's injected under the skin, typically once a week. The recommended starting dosage is 0.75mg once weekly for at least 4 weeks. This 1.5mg pen is recommended for patients who have been prescribed treatment with 0.75mg and need additional glycemic control with a higher dosage.

How does it work?

This medication acts like the natural human hormone, GLP-1, to help reduce hepatic glucose production and slow down gastric emptying.
